Widening ESS participation – RODA-NSD cooperation in implementing ESS round 9 in Romania

Supporting, through the collaboration between the Romanian Social Data Association (RODA) and Norsk senter for forskningsdata AS (NSD), Romania’s participation in Round 9 of the ESS (European Social Survey), in order to ensure access to comprehensive data for the development of policies and research

– promoting Romania’s continued participation in the ESS by fully joining the ESS ERIC;

– stimulating Romanian participation in the European Research Area and funding programs (such as Horizon 2020 and its successor program and regional and national and long-term programs), stimulating the use of ESS data from Romania in Romanian and European research, in the sciences social and other research sectors through access to relevant data and information. This includes the impact on the capacity of Romanian researchers and students through access to training and the ESS research network in the field of collecting and using social science data of high scientific quality. Romanian ESS data will also be useful for policy development in various fields and for organizations that need access to comparative information about Romanian society.
