Objectives
Improve quality of care and patient-centered outcomes in the Departments of Rheumatology in 7 Romanian national university centers
Target group
Primary project audience: 40 rheumatologists and 20 rheumatology nurses working in
rheumatology departments in seven Romanian national university centers (Bucharest, Cluj,
Craiova, Constanța, Timisoara, Tg. Mures and Iasi).
Indirect and secondary project audience: approx. 4000 patients with RA currently cared for
by the HCPs included in the project.
Results
- Develop an innovative Personal Development Program targeting the rheumatology care team in order to improve the knowledge, skills, competencies and performances needed in a patient-centered approach for an optimal management of rheumatoid arthritis patients and subsequently for better patient’s outcomes.
- Improve the HCP’s behavior by shifting the focus from the physician-centered to the patient-centered approach through delivering the Personal Development Program (experiential training and individual coaching) to 60 physicians and nurses working in rheumatology departments in 7 Romanian national university centers (Bucharest, Cluj, Craiova, Constanța, Timisoara, Tg. Mures and Iasi).
- Assess and validate the Personal Development Program model by measuring the project outcomes at both patient and provider levels through summative and formative assessments.
- Disseminate the project results to the wider audience through publications, project website, conferences and workshops.
